Smith Turf Field
Overview
The turf field is home to Smith's field hockey and lacrosse programs. Dedicated on September 17, 2010, the Smith College Turf Field was made possible through the leadership philanthropy of Dr. Trudi Cloyd and the generosity of other alumnae, parents and friends. The vision and commitment behind these gifts recognizes the value of athletics and the inspiring role that coaches have in both sport and life.
The field was made in honor of Judith "Judy" Strong, the Smith College field hockey and lacrosse coach for 20 years (1987-2007) and a member of two US Olympic Field Hockey Teams.Â
