Box Score NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--Morgan Lockwood had a goal and an assist to lead Babson College to a 3-1 win over Smith College on Saturday afternoon.

Sarah Fredlund opened the scoring for Babson (5-2, 2-0 NEWMAC) when she put home a pass from Lockwood.  

Lockwood then made it 2-0 with a goal off a Julia Pochini in the 52nd minute, and Colleen Kelly added a third two minutes later.

Smith (3-4, 0-2 NEWMAC) pulled one goal back when Dari Goulden (Rutledge, Pa./Strath Haven) fired in an unassisted tally, but Smith could not find two more goals.

Savannah Lawson (Oak Bluffs, Mass./Martha's Vineyard) made her first start for the Pioneers, and made seven saves.  Jess Pashos made three saves between the sticks for Babson.

Smith will hit the road on Tuesday, October 5, for a game at MIT.  Babson will take a break from NEWMAC action with a trip to Gordon College.
