NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The Smith College field hockey team will look to get back to winning ways when the Pioneers (8-1, 2-1 NEWMAC) host longtime rival No. 20 Mount Holyoke College (9-1, 1-1 NEWMAC) on Tuesday afternoon.
Last Meeting: Mount Holyoke dealt Smith a 9-1 defeat on September 15, 2012.
The Series: Smith leads the series 26-24-3, but has not defeated Mount Holyoke since a 1-0 double-overtime win on October 6, 2003.
Fast Facts: Mount Holyoke is coming off a 6-1 win over Clark University on Saturday....the Lyons are led by juniors Diana Banmann and Kirsten Kilburn, who have 34 points each this season...Mount Holyoke is 3-1 in one-goal games this season...Smith had a season opening eight game winning streak ended by Wellesley on Saturday...The Pioneers were shutout for the first time in 13 games dating back to last season...Smith will be playing consecutive ranked opponents...eight different players have scored at least two goals for Smith...
