NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - The Smith College field hockey team will play its first match under its new lights at the Smith College Turf Field Tuesday. Faceoff against the Connecticut College Camels is set for 7 p.m.
 
Musco Sports Lighting, LLC has decades of experience installing lighting systems for thousands of customers. The four, 70-inch galvanized steel pole lights come with the Control-Link Control and Monitoring system, a remote wireless management system that is utilized to schedule and control facility lighting.
 
"With the upgrades that we have made to our field with new turf in 2010 and the addition of lights this year, we have a facility that we take pride in and recruits can see as a commitment to our athletic programs," said Director of Athletics and Recreation Lynn Oberbillig.

As part of Smith's "show som'more support" promotion, fans will be provided the opportunity to make s'mores while watching the match.
