Game Preview: Field Hockey vs. Mount Holyoke

NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The Smith College field hockey team will look to bounce back from their double overtime loss to No. 9 Wellesley when the Pioneers (4-5, 2-1 NEWMAC) host longtime rival Mount Holyoke College (5-4, 1-1 NEWMAC) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening.  

Last Meeting: Mount Holyoke dealt Smith a 7-1 defeat on October 7, 2014.

The Series: The series is tied 26-26-3, but Smith has not defeated Mount Holyoke since a 1-0 double-overtime win on October 6, 2003.

Fast Facts:  Mount Holyoke is coming off a 3-0 win over Clark University on Saturday....the Lyons are led by junior Charlotte Wagner, who has 25 points this season on nine goals, five assists...The Lyons average 3.4 goals per game and allow 1.50 goals against…Smith is led by junior Elsie Odhiambo (Oyugis, Kenya/Kisumu Girls School)'s 11 points on five goals, one assist...Goalkeeper Cameo Tietje (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) ranks second in the NEWMAC in total goals allowed (4) and goals against average (0.78)...Both teams lost in double overtime to Wellesley College…
