LAST MEETING
Mariah Ollive (Milton, Vt./Milton)'s goal at the 46:45 mark of the second half proved to be the game-winner as the Smith field hockey team bested NEWMAC rival Mount Holyoke 2-1 on October 6, 2015. It was the first win over the Lyons since the 2003 season, snapping a losing streak of 13 games.

LAST MOUNT HOLYOKE WIN
Behind the efforts of six different scorers, the No. 19 Mount Holyoke College field hockey team powered past Smith College by a 7-1 margin in NEWMAC action on October 7, 2014. Julia Hamilton (Williamstown, Mass./Deerfield Academy) scored the only goal for the Pioneers.

SCOUTING THE LYONS
Mount Holyoke is back in action following a 5-1 victory in their only match last week against Clark. Junior midfielder Sophie Perekslis and senior forward Charlotte Wagner both recorded a pair of goals in the game, while senior keeper Liz DiCesare earned the win, recording two saves over 55:23 minutes played. Wagner was named the NEWMAC Offensive Player of the week for her two goal, one assist performance against Clark. She leads the Lyons offense with eight goals, four assists for 20 points. DiCesare owns a 1.77 goals against average and .739 save percentage. Mount Holyoke welcomes 18 returners from last year's squad, including seven of the top 10 scorers from 2015. MHC averages 2.80 goals per game and were selected to win the conference.
