THE SERIES
Smith and Connecticut College will meet for the sixth time on Tuesday evening in a series that dates back to 1998. The Camels hold a 4-1 edge all-time and have won four consecutive games against the Pioneers.

LAST MEETING
Katlyn Paiva's reverse sweep goal from the left of the penalty spot stood up as the gamewinner despite nine Pioneer shots as Connecticut College defeated Smith, 1-0, on September 16, 2015, in New London, Conn. 

LAST SMITH WIN
The Pioneers won the first meeting between these two schools, 2-0, on September 16, 1998.

SCOUTING THE CAMELS
Conn. College returns 19 players from the 2015 roster, many of whom saw significant minutes in key situations as starters or reserves. The squad will be led by tri-captains Ryley van der Velde, Bryn MacGillivray and Jacquelyn Murphy. Senior goalkeeper Van der Velde has held down the starting role in each of the past three seasons and is averaging 4.00 goals per game in 2016. Cheyanne Asplundh leads the Camels with two goals while Jacqueline Murphy has two assists this season. Conn. College is coming off a 3-0 losst to #1 Middlebury on Saturday. 

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Sophie Chase (Milton, Mass./Milton) scored the only goal of the game for Smith in a 5-1 loss to #1 Middlebury Sunday afternoon. Junior forward Julia Hamilton (Williamstown, Mass./Deerfield Academy) (2-0-4) leads the team in goals and points, while Elsie Odhiambo (Oyugis, Kenya/Kisumu Girls School) has one game-winning goal on the season. Junior goalkeeper Cameo Tietje (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) owns a 3.12 goals against average to go along with a .705 save percentage in four starts.
