THE SERIES
Smith and Simmons will meet for the sixth time on Tuesday evening in a series that began in 2011. The Pioneers hold a 4-1 advantage all-time.

First-year Amanda Lavond netted two goals in the field hockey team's 4-2 loss at Simmons College on September 30, 2014.
SCOUTING THE SHARKS
Simmons has won five of their last six games after their 2-0 win over Anna Maria College Saturday afternoon. In that game, the Sharks received goals from Sammy Rondeau and Julie Saltamartini while Brianna Rastello made three saves. Simmons is led by Saltamartini, who is the reigning GNAC Offensive Player of the Year and was named to the NFHCA All-Region First Team in 2015. Saltamartini has powered the offense with 10 goals this season. Rastello was named Greater Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week Monday. She currently leads the league in save percentage (.854), goals against average (1.24) and shutouts (one) in 337:22 minutes of action in five matches. She ranked 17
th in the nation in save percentage in the latest NCAA Division III rankings. The Sharks average 3.30 goals per game and defensively allow 1.50 gpg.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Smith remained undefeated in conference play thanks to their 1-0 victory over Wheaton College Saturday afternoon.
Elsie Odhiambo (Oyugis, Kenya/Kisumu Girls School) scored her fifth goal of the season as Tietje stopped two shots. Tietje owns a 2.20 goals against average and .753 save percentage. The Pioneers average 1.38 goals per game.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
The Pioneers are 8-7 over their last 15 games against non-conference foes.
