FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

• The Smith College field hockey team aims to snap a three game NEWMAC losing streak tonight against WPI. 

  

• Senior forward Caroline Labriola (Westbrook, Conn./Westbrook) powers the Pioneer offense with four goals and one assist.

 

• The Pioneers were selected 3rd in the NEWMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, while WPI was picked 8th. 

 

• The Engineers allowed a season-high six goals in their 6-2 loss to MIT this past Saturday. 

 

• Freshman midfielder Abby O'Sullivan ranks third in the NEWMAC in goals (11) and is fourth in points (24)
