HOW THEY SCORED

9:21 - BABSON -
The Green and White jumped on top when Cate Diamond poked home a rebound at the back post following a corner for her second goal of the year. Ashley Tango had her initial shot blocked and Smith goalkeeper Channy Cornell (Arlington, Tex./The Oakridge School) denied senior Catherine Gilman but the ball came loose and Diamond put it away for a 1-0 edge.

65:06 - BABSON - Tori Roche redirected a blast by Tango.

67:00 - BABSON - Tango ripped a shot past Cornell following a corner by the Beavers.

First-year goalkeeper Cassidy Riley made a pair of strong stops in the opening half for Babson, kicking away a shot by senior Alex Larosee (Warwick, R.I./The Wheeler School) in the 15th minute and coming off her line to make a pad save on senior Beatrice Chaudoin's (Millersville, Md./Severna Park) blast following a corner in the 23rd minute to keep the hosts in front. Smith's best second-half scoring chance came with just over 10 minutes to go, but Beavers' senior Lauren Drakeley tracked back to break up Larosee's chance from the right side of the circle.
