ONEONTA, N.Y.- First year 
Zufan Bazzano (Great Barrington, Mass./Monument Mountain) lifted the Smith College soccer team to a 1-0 victory against SUNY Oneonta on Saturday afternoon in the opening game of the Mayor's Cup.

22' | SMITH | After earning their second corner of the game, junior 
Reilly Sullivan (Keene, N.H./Keene) sent in a pass which was deflected by senior 
Aisling Keane (Bedford, Mass./Bedford) and then finished by Bazzano for the lone goal of the game.
NOTABLE
	- Bazzano's goal is the third of her career and gives her the team with three.
- Sullivan's assist is the second of the season and eighth of her career.
- First year Naomi Falkenberg (Sutton, Mass./Sutton Memorial) played the full 90 minutes and made four saves. It's her third win of the season and first career shutout.
- The Pioneers held an 8-4 advantage in shots on goal while the Red Dragons won the corner battle, 10-3.
- Smith moved to 1-1 all-time against Oneonta.

The Pioneers play their final game of the Mayor's Cup on Sunday. September 9 against Hartwick College at 2:30 p.m. The match will be played on the campus of SUNY Oneonta.
