NEW LONDON, Conn. - Senior Hannah Kelsey (Hopkinton, N.H./The Derryfield School) scored the lone goal of the game, leading Smith College soccer to a 1-0 victory at Coast Guard in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• 20' - SMITH - Kelsey took a pass from Etienne Oliver (Sandy, Ore./The Catlin Gabel School) and slid it into the bottom right corner for the eventual game winner.

GAME NOTES

• Naomi Falkenberg (Sutton, Mass./Sutton) (5-3) made nine saves to register her second shutout of the season
• Smith improves to 10-5-1 all-time against Coast Guard
• The Bears held a slight 14-13 advantage in shots, while Smith owned a 4-3 edge in corners
