NORTHAMPTON - With 13:44 remaining in the fourth period, Connecticut College found the back of the cage and captured a 1-0 victory over Smith in non-conference field hockey action on Wednesday evening.

• 46:16 - SMI 0 CC 1 - The Camels were rewarded a corner where Kylie Quinn took a dribble into the circle and a direct shot found the back of the net for the only goal of the game

Game Notes

• Smith had an opportunity to take a lead in the first half as Abbey O'Meara (Wilton, CT/St. Luke's School) carried the ball down the right side of the field but her shot was denied
• Kyleigh Poot (Fairfax, VA/Woodson) registered her third defensive save of the year
• Abby Halpin (Pine Bush, NY/Kent School), making her first career start, kept the Pioneers in for much of the game and finished with six saves
• The Camels had advantages in shots (8-2) and penalty corners (8-2)
