Soccer Concludes Season with Loss at Coast Guard

NEW LONDON, CT - The Smith College soccer program concluded the 2025 campaign with a 3-1 loss at Coast Guard on Saturday afternoon. The Bears finish the year with a 3-12-2 overall record with a 2-8-1 mark in NEWMAC play. Coast Guard Stands at 5-11-2 on the year and 4-6-1 in conference competition. Goalkeeper Sky Smith (Carlisle, MA/Concord-Carlisle Regional) registered five saves to finish with 309 in her career. 

First Half Highlights 
- Coast Guard's Mia Forti scored the opening goal in the 20th minute, assisted by Ella Pottle, putting Coast Guard ahead 1-0.  
- Sky Smith (Carlisle, MA/Concord-Carlisle Regional) recorded multiple saves throughout the half, including a stop against Kaela Hoss in the 24th minute.  
- Little of Coast Guard denied several attempts from the Bears, including two consecutive saves against Quinn in the 34th and 37th minutes.  
- Forti netted her second goal in the 43rd minute, extending Coast Guard's lead to 2-0 by halftime.

Second Half Highlights
- Keller scored for the Bears at the 47th minute, assisted by Branford, narrowing the gap to 2-1.  
- Quinn attempted two shots, with one saved by Little at the 58th minute.  
- Coast Guard extended their lead to 3-1 with a goal from Forti, assisted by McIntosh, in the 68th minute.  
- Abby Dlug's (Cinnaminson, NJ/Bishop Eustace Prep) late attempt at 88:55 was saved by Little, preserving Coast Guard's two-goal advantage.
