NORTHAMPTON - Senior diver
Katherine Welsh (St. Paul, MN/Saint Paul Academy) tied the Dalton Pool record on the 1-meter and the Smith College swimming and diving team cruised past Simmons University on Friday evening at the inaugural Bierwert Invitational.Â
"It was an honor to have so many wild bunch alumnae in the stands tonight. They brought the extra energy needed that fueled some great swims and dives tonight. Our divers continue to challenge themselves. Katherine is consistently performing at an elite level and Miranda and Charlotte are improving each week. We challenged our swimmers with some different and challenging events and they stepped up and put forth some great efforts. We're looking forward to continuing to spend time with our amazing wild bunch of bananas this weekend as we celebrate the life and legacy of Kim Bierwert." - Head Coach Caleb Potvin
