SCHENECTADY, NY - The Smith College swim and dive team began the year by picking up wins over Union , Roberts Wesleyan, and Westfield State Saturday afternoon. 

Meet Highlights

• The Bears kicked things off with a first place finish in the 200 medley relay consisting of Jaclyn Kanda (Irvine, CA/Arnold O Beckman), Emma Schultz (Hyattsville, MD/Elizabeth Seton), Jessie Wang (Princeton, NJ/Princeton), and Maddie Milla (Nyack, NY/Nyack)
• In the 1,000 free, Ava Cuellar (Spring, TX/Klein Cain) took the top spot in 11:26.70
• Phoebe Ballek (Allentown, PA/Salisbury) won the 200 free in 2:02.30 and 500 free in 5:30.06, while Schultz collected three first place finishes in the 100 breast, 200 breast, and 200 IM
• Jessie Wang (Princeton, NJ/Princeton) claimed the top times in the 200 fly (2:13.29) and 200 back (2:15.30)
• Madeleine Lucas (Salem, MA/Salem) posted the fastest time in the 50 free in 26:33
• Miranda Strunk (Lowell, MA/Lowell) earned the highest score on the 3m with a mark of 231.75
• The Bears ended the night with the top time in the 200 free relay led by Jessie Wang (Princeton, NJ/Princeton), Phoebe Ballek (Allentown, PA/Salisbury), Madeleine Lucas (Salem, MA/Salem) and Maddie Milla (Nyack, NY/Nyack) in 1:46.02
