SPRINGFIELD - The Smith College soccer team dropped a 3-0 match at NEWMAC foe Springfield College Saturday morning. The Bears dip to 0-7-1 on the year with a 0-2 mark in league play. The Pride move to 2-5 overall and 1-1 in the NEWMAC. 

Game Highlights

• The Pride scored three minutes into the game when Ella Hoffenberg passed the ball off to Marissa Sanford at the top of the box and she was able to put one past the goalkeeper to take the early lead
• In the 68th minute, Jessica Perry crossed the ball and Reese Croutworst was able to convert to give the Pride some insurance before Perry found the back of the net with less than two minutes to play for the 3-0 win 

By the Numbers

• Smith goalkeeper Riley Cioffi-Smith (North Branford, CT/Cheshire Academy) made six saves
• Springfield outshot the Bears 22-5 and owned an 8-1 edge on corners
