Smith College Athletics

Katy Jankura will enter her second season as a graduate assistant coach with the Smith College field hockey team in the 2019-20 season. While helping head coach Jaime Ginsberg, Jankura will also be working towards a Master's degree in Exercise & Sport Studies.

Jankura graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in May 2018 with an English degree and concentration in Secondary Education. At ECSU, Jankura was a captain and four-year starting defender for the Warriors who advanced to the Little East Conference playoffs all four years. She earned NFHCA Scholar of Distinction recognition and was four-time member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad. 

The Guilford, Connecticut native spent the spring of 2018 as a volunteer assistant for the ECSU field hockey team and has experience coaching high school and youth clinics. Jankura was selected to participate in the NCAA's Career in Sports Forum this past June.
