Kacey Baker enters her second season as a graduate assistant coach with the Smith College soccer team in 2022.
A 2021 graduate of Coe College, Baker was a member of the women’s soccer team for four seasons and was a three year starting goalkeeper. During her time as a Kohawk she was awarded Defensive Player of the Week for the ARC conference and served as a team captain.
While at Coe, Baker served as President and Vice President for several clubs and organizations including the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, Dance Marathon, Business Club, and Student Senate. She was also a proud member of Coe’s chapter of Mortar Board; a national honor society for college seniors who excel in scholarship, leadership and service. Baker graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration & Sports Management with minors in Economics and French Language. She is currently pursuing a Master's in Exercise and Sport Science at Smith.
Prior to Smith, Baker spent three years working for the WDM Soccer club in many different roles. She served as an assistant coach for the u15 Girls and Boys teams along with taking on a role as the Assistant Tournament Director for one of the largest soccer tournaments in Iowa. During her time at Coe she accepted a Head Coaching position with a local club F.C. United where she coached the u9 and u10 Girls academy teams. During her senior year at Coe, Baker was able to shadow and assist Coe’s Men’s Soccer team.
Kacey is an outstanding coach who trains goalkeepers and assists with field players, recruiting, team service, and other operations. She brings a high work ethic and personal approach to connecting with each of her players.
