Lianne McCluskey

Lianne McCluskey enters her first season as an assistant swim coach of the Smith College swimming team.

Prior to Smith, McCluskey spent two seasons as the head coach of the Penobscot Bay Y Sailfish Swim Team in Rockport, Maine. She began coaching swimming in October 2015 as an assistant swim coach at Nitro Swimming, a Gold Medal ranked USA Swimming Club Team based out of Austin, Texas. 

At Denison University, McCluskey swam her freshman year before transferring to La Salle University in Philadelphia, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Communication with a Journalism track. Most notably she was a 2011 Division III NCAA Champion in the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay while attending Denison. While attending La Salle University, McCluskey was a 2012 Atlantic 10 Top 16 Finalist in 50-yard Freestyle and100-Yard Butterfly.

McCluskey is a native of Hope, Maine, where she swam for the Penobscot Bay Y Sailfish Swim Team for 13 years. She is currently working toward her Masters in Exercise & Sports Studies as a full-time graduate student at Smith College.Â
