Brooke Stanley enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Bears bringing an elite pedigree of championship success and a specialized focus on high-performance athlete development.

Coaching Excellence & Achievements

Stanley’s impact on the sidelines has been recognized at the highest levels of Division III volleyball:

  • Championship Pedigree: A key member of coaching staffs that earned NEWMAC Coaching Staff of the Year honors in 2024 and 2025, and C2C Coaching Staff of the Year in 2023.

  • History-Making Runs: At MIT, she helped guide the team to an undefeated 29-0 regular season in 2024 and the best AVCA national ranking in program history at #4.

  • Postseason Success: She has reached the NCAA Division III Sweet 16 in three consecutive seasons (2023–2025) and secured the 2025 NEWMAC Tournament Championship.

  • Player Development: Stanley has coached 9 All-Americans, including 1st Team selections Consecreta Rozario and Kayleigh May, as well as the 2024 National DIII Rookie of the Year.

Professional Background

Beyond the college sidelines, Stanley serves as the Associate Club Director for Boston United Volleyball Club, where she oversees recruiting operations for 72 teams and manages a staff of over 70 coaches. Her previous tenure at the University of Mary Washington saw a marked improvement in the team's defensive net presence, raising the blocking average from 1.85 to 2.12 blocks per set.

Her expertise spans the full spectrum of program operations, including:

  • Advanced Scouting & Strategy: Utilizing video analysis and film sessions to design match-specific tactical adjustments.

  • Recruiting Coordination: Serving as a primary liaison for prospective student-athletes and managing high-academic showcase recruiting.

  • Technical Training: Specializing in middle blocker and right-side development, alongside comprehensive technical instruction in all phases of the game.

Education & Playing Career

A former standout student-athlete, Stanley competed for Winthrop University  before winning a CAC Conference Championship at Christopher Newport University.

She holds a Master of Sports Management in High Performance Coaching (Magna Cum Laude) and a Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Events Management (Cum Laude).
