Box Score NORTON, Mass.--Jen Chang made five saves in her second consecutive start between the sticks, but it was not enough to keep Smith College from falling to Wheaton (Mass.) 3-0 in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference women's soccer action on Saturday.

Smith was eliminated from contention for the NEWMAC tournament with the loss.  The Pioneers dropped to 3-10-1, 1-6-1 in conference play, while Wheaton improved to 13-3-2, with a 5-3 NEWMAC record.

Colleen Liffers put the Lyons ahead with a goal in the 27th minute, and Emily Hough put the game out of reach with goals two minutes apart for Wheaton in the 53rd, and 55th minutes, respectively.  The Lyons outshot Smith 21-4.

Smith will host Fitchburg State College in a non-conference matchup on October 26, at 4 p.m.
