Drummond Continues Strong Play In Loss To Clark

Box Score WORCESTER, Mass.--Rosa Drummond notched 10 kills in Smith College's 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 16-25, 20-25) loss at New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) foe Clark University on Tuesday night.

Drummond, who was named Smith's Athlete of the Week for her exploits last week for the Pioneers, notched her fourth match in five with at least 10 kills, and added three solo blocks and hit

Laurel Belton led the Pioneers (3-19, 1-7 NEWMAC) with 12 digs, while Courtney Faria (24 assists) and Lauren Martinez (10 assists) set up the offense.  Bethany Ashworth had a match high 19 digs. 

The match was the final road game of the season for the Pioneers, who return to action tomorrow night with a 7 p.m. tilt against Amherst.  The Pioneers then conclude their season with a home game against WPI on Saturday, October 30 at 1 p.m.
