Box Score NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--Playing 24 hours after a road contest against Clark, the Smith College volleyball team fell to Amherst College 3-0 (7-25, 13-25, 10-25) on Tuesday night.

The Lord Jeffs, (21-2) who lead the New England Small College Athletic Conference, jumped out to an early lead in each set.

Smith (3-20) was led by Laurel Belton, who recorded three kills, three service aces, and 12 digs.  Sonia Brown added two service aces and eight digs.

The Pioneers will conclude their season with a visit from WPI on Saturday, October 30 at 1 p.m.  Before the game, seniors Laurel Belton and Lauren Martinez will be honored for their contributions to the program.
