Box Score BABSON PARK, Mass. – Smith College lost to Babson College in NEWMAC volleyball action on Saturday afternoon, falling 3-0 (20-25, 11-25, 13-25).

With the win, Babson upped its record to 5-6 overall and 1-0 in the conference, while the Pioneers fell to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the NEWMAC.

Smith received six kills in defeat from senior Laurel Belton (San Bernardino, Calif./Aquinas) (San Bernadino, Calif.), as well as nine digs from first-year Bethany Ashworth (North Falmouth, Mass./Bourne) (Monument, Mass.) and two service aces from first-year Rosa Drummond (Rye, N.H./Portsmouth) (Rye, N.H.).
