Volleyball Swept By Keene State, Plymouth State

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 KEENE, N.H.--The Smith College volleyball team fell to host Keene State College, as well as Plymouth State University in the Little East/NEWMAC Challenge on Saturday.  Smith is now 6-13 overall.

In the opener against Plymouth State, the Pioneers and Panthers alternated set victories before PSU squeaked out a 3-2 (19-25, 25-17, 16-25, 25-20, 12-15) victory.  In the second game against the host Owls, Smith was led by Rosa Drummond (Rye, N.H./Portsmouth), who had 12 kills and 10 digs and sophomore Kristi Hammond (Yona, Guam/St. Johns School) finished with 10 kills to lead Smith (6-12).  First year setter Me-Li Smith chipped in with 15 assists.

Smith will be back on the court on Tuesday, traveling to Springfield College for a 7 p.m. NEWMAC matchup.
