NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The Smith College volleyball team (1-4, 0-1 NEWMAC) will look to snap a three game losing skid when they travel to NEWMAC foe Clark University (5-3, 1-1 NEWMAC) on Tuesday night.
Last Meeting: Smith dropped a tough 3-2 decision to the Cougars in the final home game of the season on October 25, 2011. Smith rallied from 2-0 down to force a deciding fifth set, but Clark came away with a 15-9 win.
Rosa Drummond (Rye, N.H./Portsmouth) finished with 22 kills.
Last Smith Win: The Pioneers dealt Clark a
3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-17) defeat on September 22, 2009.
Smith Overview: Smith was swept in a tri-match on September 15, falling to league opponent MIT 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-11), and then to Simmons, in a nailbiting 3-2 (26-28, 25-15, 25-18, 19-25, 15-13) defeat.
Clark Overview: The Cougars notched their first league win of the year with a closer-than-you-think win over Mount Holyoke over the weekend. Clark edged out the Lyons 3-0, but two of the sets went to extra points, including a first set that finished 35-33.
