Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--A 1-1 record on the second day of the MIT Volleyball Invitational was enough to see Smith College to ninth place in the 14 team tournament.  Smith was defeated by Colby College in the opener 3-0 (14-25, 19-25, 21-25), before ending the tournament with a 3-0 sweep of Simmons College (25-17, 25-20, 25-15).

Smith now stands at 4-6 overall.  The Pioneers will return to Ainsworth Gym for the first time in three weeks when they play host to Wheaton College in a 7 p.m. NEWMAC game on Tuesday, September 25.
