NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The Smith College tennis team (1-6, 1-6 NEWMAC) will play their final team match of the fall season at MIT (8-0, 7-0 NEWMAC) on Saturday.


Last Meeting: MIT nabbed a 9-0 win over Smith on October 20, 2012.

Last Smith Win: October 17, 1998.  Smith beat MIT 8-1 in their final team match of the fall season.

Fast Facts:  MIT is currently top of the NEWMAC...the Engineers are the only undefeated team in the NEWMAC...Smith grabbed their first win of the season with a 6-3 victory over Clark on Tuesday...Kelli Cheung (Plainfield, N.J./Union County Acad.), Margaret Anne Smith (Spring Lake, N.J./High Technology), Kathryn Dernbach (Naples, Fla./Community School), and Alexandra Steck (Loudonville, N.Y./Emma Willard) all won at singles...

Next Up: Smith will participate in the New England Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament (NEWITT) from October 19-21.  MIT will do the same.
