NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The Smith College volleyball team (10-5) gets back on the court for the first time in nine days when the Pioneers make the short trip to Mount Holyoke to take part on the Seven Sisters Championship. Smith will play Mount Holyoke College (8-7) and Vassar College (13-9) on Saturday, followed by matchups with Bryn Mawr (10-7) and Wellesley (18-2) on Sunday.
Last Meeting (Mount Holyoke): Smith took a 3-1 (25-20, 25-21, 25-27, 25-19) win over the Lyons on October 23, 2012.
Last Meeting (Vassar): Vassar swept a 3-0 (16-25, 11-25, 12-25) decision on October 6, 2012 at the Seven Sisters Championship.
Last Meeting (Bryn Mawr): The Owls topped Smith at the 2012 edition of this tournament with a 3-1 (24-26, 20-25, 25-21, 15-25) win on October 7, 2012.
Last Meeting (Wellesley): Smith's 2012 season came to an end with a 3-0 (20-25, 23-25, 13-25) loss to the Blue on October 27, 2012.
The Series: Smith leads the series with Bryn Mawr 13-4. The Pioneers have won 17 of the 29 all-time meetings with Vassar, and leads the series with Mount Holyoke 42-20. Wellesley leads the series 49-25 with the Pioneers.
