NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The Smith College tennis team (0-5, 0-5 NEWMAC) will take on Emerson College (1-7, 1-5 NEWMAC) in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) matchup on Saturday afternoon.


Last Meeting: This is the first meeting between the schools.

Fast Facts:  The Lions are in their first season of competition in the NEWMAC, after being a member of the Great Northeast Atlantic Conference from 1995-2013...the Lions grabbed their first win of the season with a 6-3 win over Clark on September 28....this is the final home match of the season for Smith...the Pioneers played their best match of the season, getting third set tiebreak wins from Kelli Cheung (Plainfield, N.J./Union County Acad.) and Margaret Anne Smith (Spring Lake, N.J./High Technology) at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively...

Next Up:  Smith will take on Clark University on October 8 at 4:30 p.m.  Emerson will travel to Wellesley on October 8, starting at 5 p.m.
