NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The Smith College tennis team (0-6, 0-6 NEWMAC) hits the road for a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) matchup against Clark University (2-10, 0-5 NEWMAC) on Tuesday.


Last Meeting:  Clark ended a 76 match conference losing streak dating back to 2001 with a 5-4 win over Smith on October 16, 2012.

Last Smith Win: Smith scored a 6-3 win over the Cougars on October 11, 2011.  Smith logged wins at the final five singles positions, as well as No. 3 doubles.

Fast Facts: Alexandra Steck (Loudonville, N.Y./Emma Willard) picked up her first career with at No. 6 singles against Emerson...Kathryn Dernbach (Naples, Fla./Community School) was unlucky not to win at No. 5 after falling in an extremely close third set tiebreak...Clark has lost six straight matches...five of Clark's losses are by 9-0 scores...

Next Up:  Smith will head to MIT on October 12 to close out the fall season.  Clark will host Babson on October 9.
