NORTHAMPTON, Mass. — The Smith College tennis team hosted the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as part of their Rally for the Cure match Saturday.

The Engineers, who have won back-to-back New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championships, won the match, 9-0. The early morning rain moved the match indoors.

The Pioneers will next host the New England Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament (NEWITT) starting Friday, Oct. 17 before participating in the 2014 NEWMAC tournament on Oct. 22.
