Jenna Bicierro (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park) and
Olivia Ruiz (Oakland, Calif./Bentley), were honored before the game.
First-year goalkeeper
Shelby Hall (West Springfield, Mass./West Springfield) posted her fifth shutout of the season, recording 12 saves on the day. It marks the fourth time this season that Hall has notched 10-plus saves. Claire Cerda made three stops for the Blue.
Wellesley almost broke the tie in the 51
st minute, as Juliette Fry's shot clanged off the right post. The Pioneers were just as unlucky in the 93
rd minute when sophomore
Innis Hitt (Arlington, Va./Yorktown)'s shot thudded off the crossbar and rolled out of harms way.
Sophomore
Jackie Foody (Weston, Mass./Weston) led Smith with five shots, two of which were on goal. Sumner Hanula also took five shots for Wellesley.
Smith's record now stands at 5-6-3 and 3-3-2 in conference play while Wellesley moves to 8-7-3 and 2-5-1 on the season.
The Pioneers will close out the home portion of their regular-season schedule against Mount Holyoke College on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
