Jenna Bicierro (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park) scored in the 101st minute to give the Smith College soccer team a 1-0 double-overtime win over the United States Coast Guard Academy in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) road action Saturday.
Smith improves to 4-4-1 and 2-1 in NEWMAC play, while the Coast Guard dips to 6-4-1 and 1-2.

Innis Hitt (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) sent a cross into the box that the Bears were unable to clear out. The ball came to Bicierro who one touched it into the back of the net for her first goal of the year in the 102nd minute.
The Bears ended up outshooting the Pioneers 20-7 with an 11-3 advantage in shots on goal, however first-year goalkeeper
Shelby Hall (West Springfield, Mass./West Springfield) answered the call each and every time for Smith, making 11 saves in net and tallying her fourth clean sheet of the season.
Senior Holly Moore made two saves in the loss for the Coast Guard Academy.
Smith continues conference play on Tuesday, Oct. 7, when the team heads to Springfield, Mass. to take on the Springfield College Pride. Kickoff for the game is set for 7 p.m.
