NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Smith College lacrosse team (1-8) hosts local foe Westfield State (3-4) for a non-conference matchup at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Last Meeting: The Owls defeated the Pioneers 16-7 on March 26, 2013.
The Series: Westfield State holds a slim 3-2 lead. Smith won the initial meeting in 2009. The Pioneers last defeated the Owls, 17-14, on March 27, 2012.

Anne Zawacki (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla./Ponte Vedra) returned to the lineup on Saturday as each scored a goal and Zawacki led the team with seven draw controls…Smith fired off 26 shots on goal, for the second time this season, in Saturday's game against Emerson…The Pioneers have taken 71 free position shots and converted 29 while opponents have taken 27 shots (17 goals).
