Box Score NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The Springfield College women's volleyball team captured a three-set win over Smith College in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) battle at Ainsworth Gym. Set scores were 25-18, 25-17, 25-9.

With the win, Springfield is now 8-4, 2-2 in league play, while the Pioneers drop to 6-8, 1-3.

For the Pioneers, Allison Hardy (Nashville, Tenn./University School of Nashville) had six kills, while Lauren Shaffer (Downey, Calif./Whittier Christian) tallied five kills. Dayra Diaz Marquez (Bayamon, Puerto Rico/New Mission) notched a team-best 12 assists, and Samantha Danguilan (Round Lake, Ill./Round Lake) (12 digs), Julie Voorhes (Ramona, Calif./Ramona) (10) and Hardy (12) each registered double-digit dig totals.

Smith will be back in action on Saturday at 12 p.m. when they host the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Engineers.
