Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Smith College Volleyball team defeated the Elms College Blazers, 3-0 in the opening round of the Western New England Women's Volleyball Invitational Friday evening. The Pioneers swept the Blazers by the set scores of 25-15, 25-14, and 25-19.


Smith improves to 2-0 on the season, while Elms falls to 1-3.


The stats from tonight's match will be available at a later date. The Pioneers will play two matches tomorrow to wrap up the WNE Women's Volleyball Invitational, taking on Western Connecticut State at 11 a.m. followed by a match against the hosts from Western New England University at 1 p.m.
