Box Score NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - GiGi Ross (Colt's Neck, N.J./Colt's Neck) scored 5:52 into the second overtime to give the Smith College soccer team a 1-0 NEWMAC win over WPI Tuesday night.

Smith, playing their fourth overtime game of the season, improves to 7-5-3 overall, 3-2-2 in conference play and now leads the all-time series 15-3-3.  The Engineers fall to 9-5-1, 3-3-1. The Pioneers earn consecutive conference wins for the first time dating back to the 2007 season.

A foul by the home team gave WPI a free kick opportunity from 10 yards outside the box, but Erin Bracken's rocket was right into the arms of Smith goakeeper Camryn Biasin (Lee, Mass./Berkshire).

The Pioneers were awarded a corner with under 10 seconds left in the first half, but were unable to keep the ball in the field of play as the two teams would go into halftime scoreless.

A cross by Jordan Isaacs (Weston, Conn./Weston) on the left side of the field found GiGi Ross (Colt's Neck, N.J./Colt's Neck) who received the ball in front of the net and one-touched it past the WPI keeper for the game-winner.

The Engineers outshot Smith 10-2 and held a narrow edge in corners 3-2.

Camryn Biasin (Lee, Mass./Berkshire) made four saves, playing the first half and was replaced by Shelby Hall (West Springfield, Mass./West Springfield), who made six stops and earned the win for Smith. Gabbi Hoops made one save for the visitors.

Smith travels to Wellesley on Saturday, October 24 for a 12 p.m. kickoff. WPI hosts Springfield on the same day at 12:30 p.m.
