Box Score NORTHAMPTON, MA - Emily Smith (Winchester, Mass./Winchester)'s goal 34 seconds into the game proved to be the game-winner as the Smith College soccer team came away with a 2-0 win over Coast Guard for their first NEWMAC win of the season on Saturday afternoon.

The Pioneers wasted little time scoring as Jordan Isaacs (Weston, Conn./Weston) pulled the Coast Guard keeper out of the cage and crossed it to a wide open Emily Smith (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) who was waiting on the left post for her second goal of the season.

Smith College scored their final goal of the game in the 83rd minute as junior Jackie Foody (Weston, Mass./Weston)'s initial shot was fired a shot on goal that was stopped by Rachel Boohar. Foody however collected the rebound and dribbled it into the back of the net for her second goal of the season.

Biasin improved to 2-1-2 on the year stopping all six shots on goal she faced. Hall relieved her in the second half making one save on one shot on goal as they combined for the Pioneers fifth shutout this season. Boohar (4-4) made four saves on 14 shots, six on goal.

The Pioneers stay unbeaten in NEWMAC competition (1-0-2) and 5-2-3 overall while the loss drops Coast Guard to 5-4 overall and 1-2 in conference games.
