THE SERIES
The match marks the 43rd all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to the first contest in 1980 - a 3-1 Smith victory. 

LAST MEETING
After dropping the first set, the Pioneers rattled off three consecutive wins to claim a 3-1 ((17-25, 25-12, 26-24, 28-26) victory over the Lyons on October 31, 2015. Sophomore setter Maca Rojas (Santiago, Chile/Liceo No. 1 Javiera Carrera) led Smith with 11 kills, while Mei-Li Smith (Cypress, Calif./Cypress) finished with eight to go along with 12 assists.

SCOUTING THE LYONS
Wheaton suffered a straight-set (26-24, 25-10, 25-18) loss to Babson Tuesday evening. In the match, Allison Cox and Cathryn MacGregor paced the Lyons with seven kills each, while first-year Cameron Mercer knocked down four. McKenna Milholland ended the match with 19 assists, while earning two digs and a block. Junior libero Stephanie Martin tops the NEWMAC in digs per set (5.38) and total digs (554). Sophomore middle hitter Claire Cansler leads her team with 276 kills while freshman Becca Houghton averages 6.03 assists per set. Wheaton was picked to finish eighth in the Preseason Coaches Poll. 

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Smith looks to end their season with a win against Wheaton for the second consecutive season. The Pioneers came up short in a 3-2 (15-25, 25-19, 25-19, 27-29, 15-12) loss to University of Saint Joseph Thursday evening. For Smith, Elizabeth Peay paced the visitors with a match-high 19 kills and first year Kimani Freeman (Newark, N.J./Montclair Kimberly Academy) added a career-high 18. Peay averages 2.16 digs per set while sophomore setter Maca Rojas (Santiago, Chile/Liceo No. 1 Javiera Carrera) produces 6.75 assists per set. Freeman ranks No. 5 in the NEWMAC in service aces per set. The Pioneers were voted to finish 10th in the Preseason Coaches Poll. 

Prior to the game the Pioneers will honor senior libero Julie Voorhes (Ramona, Calif./Ramona) for her commitment and dedication to the volleyball program.
