Anne Zawacki (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla./Ponte Vedra) established new career highs of six goals and seven points for the Pioneers in their 17-15 win over Simmons on Apil 10, 2014. Three more Smith student-athletes registered hat-tricks as the Pioneers produced its highest goal output of the season.

The Series
This is just the second game in this series. Smith leads 1-0.

The Sharks
Simmons (1-1) looks to get back in the win column after their 9-7 loss at New England College Tuesday. In that game, sophomore midfielder Kasey Fries tallied three goals, while first-year goalkeeper Kenzie Rogers made seven saves for the Sharks. Rogers was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalie of the Week on Monday as she posted a 66.7% save percentage, while owning a 5.00 goals against average in the opening week of play. Rogers currently leads the GNAC in save percentage (54.8). Simmons is under the direction of first-year head coach Taylor Bastien. The Sharks lost their top-two goal scorers from a season ago but returns Fries and Ashely Sheehan who combiend for 47 goals in 2015.

The Pioneers
Smith (0-2) looks to notch their first win of 2016 after their 14-8 loss to Western New England on Saturday. In that game, Emily Biggs (Florence, Mass./Northampton) registered a hat-trick in her first career game, while Bayleigh Bogan (Encinitas, Calif./La Costa Canyon) and Ray Silveria (Dunstable, Mass./Groton-Dunstable) each finished with two goals. Silveria is just 13 goals away from 100 in her career and has recorded a point in nine consecutive games dating back to last season.
