Last Meeting

Goalkeeper Sarah Price (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) turned away 14 shots and Caroline Myran (Philadelphia, Pa./Germantown Friends School) registered three points on one goal, two assists in Smith's 17-6 loss to Wheaton on March 25, 2015. 

The Series
In a series that dates back to the 1980 season, Wheaton leads 26-14 and has won the last nine meetings. The Pioneers last win came on April 25, 2007. 

The Lyons (3-5)
Wheaton is off to their worst start since the 2011 season when the Lyons also started 3-5 through their first eight games. The Lyons have lost five of their last six games, including a 10-9 defeat to Roger Williams last Wednesday. In the loss, Jenna Tewksbury led her team with four goals. Katie Peters leads Wheaton with 15 goals, followed by Madison Cohen's 14. Allie bush is tied for third in the NEWMAC in assists with 10, while Molly Whitten is second in the conference in saves (64). The Lyons average 10.25 goals and 24.60 shots per game. 

The Pioneers (4-3)
Smith looks to win three straight games for the first time since the 2012 season. With their 18-3 win on Saturday against Johnson State, the Pioneers already matched their season win total from 2015. In that game, Smith scored the game's first 11 goals and sophomore Julia Hamilton (Williamstown, Mass./Deerfield Academy) finshed with a career-high eight points on five goals, three assists, while senior Ray Silveria (Dunstable, Mass./Groton-Dunstable) extended her point streak to 14 games with her three scores. Hamilton and Sarah Price (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) were named NEWMAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. Hamilton and Silveria are tied for second in the conference in goals (22) and the duo are first and second in the league in points (Hamilton - 31, Silveria - 29). Price leads the NEWMAC in save percentage (58.0%), goals agaisnt (21) and goals against average (6.34). The Pioneers average 12.00 goals and 24.0 shots per game.
