NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - Sophomore Samantha Peikes (West Hartford, Conn./Watkinson School) was Smith's only winner in the Pioneers 8-1 loss to Endicott Saturday afternoon.

Peikes downed her opponent in dominating fashion, 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot.

Another thrilling set was at No. 1 when Noa Dubin (Southampton, N.Y./Southampton) nearly came back to defeat Hayley Barnett, but ultimately fell in three sets, 3-6, 6-0, 7-10.

Smith returns to the court for their final match of the spring Sunday when the Pioneers host Nichols College at 1 p.m.
