THE SERIES
Smith and Clark will meet for the 24th time on Saturday afternoon in a series that dates back to 1986. The Pioneers hold a 10-9-4 edge all-time. This will be the NEWMAC opener for both teams who enter Saturday's contest without a loss.

LAST MEETING
Jordan Isaacs (Weston, Conn./Weston) scored and had a final-minute potential game-winner blocked as the Pioneers battled Clark to a 1-1 stalemate in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opener for both teams on September 18, 2015.

LAST SMITH WIN
Jordan Houston (Logan, Utah/Logan) found the back of the net twice and Emily Smith (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) and and Innis Hitt (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) each scored in a 4-0 shutout over the Cougars on September 20, 2014.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
Clark is off to their best start since the 1998 season when the Cougars began 5-0 through the first five games. The Scarlet and White have a roster of 13 newcomers combined with eight student-athletes who started at least nine matches a season ago. First-year goalkeeper Julianna Christy has played the majority of minutes between the pipes for the Cougars, owning a 0.39 goals against average and .920 save percentage. Kara Fischer's two goals leads the Cougars offense. Clark is coming off a 0-0 draw to Curry College Tuesday evening as Christy turned aside eight shots marking her second straight shutout.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Smith is also off to their best start in program history after their 5-1 victory over Neumann University last Sunday. In that game, the Pioneers trailed 1-0 before senior Emily Smith (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) jumpstarted the offense as five different players scored for Smith. Emily Smith (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) (5) and Jordan Isaacs (Weston, Conn./Weston) (4) rank second and third in the NEWMAC in total goals, while Reilly Sullivan (Keene, N.H./Keene) and Jackie Foody (Weston, Mass./Weston) are second in the conference with four assists.
