The season continues for the Smith College tennis team (1-2, 0-2 NEWMAC) when the Pioneers host Wheaton College (1-1, 1-1 NEWMAC) in search of their first conference win of the season.
Last Smith Win: October 3, 2009. Smith 6, Wheaton 3. The Pioneers handed the Lyons what would be their only loss in NEWMAC play that fall, winning two doubles matches and four singles matches. Jaimi Inskeep, then a sophomore won at No. 2 singles, as did Clair Oblamski, who triumphed in three sets at No. 4.
Fast Facts: Smith fell to Babson, 9-0, on Sunday afternoon...Wheaton earned their first conference win of the season this past Saturday over Springfield, 5-4.
Next Up: The Pioneers host crosstown rival Mount Holyoke College Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.
