WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Two members of the Smith College tennis team competed at the ITA New England Regional Championships hosted by Williams College this weekend.
In the singles draw, senior
Sam Peikes (West Hartford, Conn./Watkinson School)Â squared off against Lara Rakoceivc of MIT. Peikes dropped the match 6-0, 6-1. Classmate
Joanna Kim (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) battled against Keren Khromchenko of Brandies, but ultimately fell 6-1, 6-0.
The duo of Kim and Peikes then teamed up and challenged Rachel Cross and Chloe Henderson of Williams. The Ephs posted an 8-0 victory over the Pioneers.Â
Smith returns to action on Monday, October 9 at 12:00 p.m. when they host Simmons in their first dual match of the season.
