• The Smith College volleyball team will play Elms College Thursday evening in a series that began in 2007.

 

• The Pioneers look to snap a six-game losing streak, their longest of the season.

   

• First year Caleigh Johnson (Georgetown, Tex./St. Dominic Savio Catholic) leads the Pioneers with 144 kills, hitting .278 to go along with 27 service aces.

 

• Elms aims to break a three game skid of their own and earn their first victory over the Pioneers in series history.

 

• Freshman Dakota Steward was selected as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week on Monday, her fourth selection of the season...Stewart averages 8.01 assists per set and has totaled 42 service aces this season.
