FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

• The Smith College volleyball team looks to snap a four-game losing streak and earn their first conference win of the season tonight against Clark.

 

• First-year Caleigh Johnson (Georgetown, Tex./St. Dominic Savio Catholic) leads the Pioneers with 130 kills followed by Amy Hagen (Owings, Md./Northern)'s 114 kills.

 

• Smith was selected to finish 10th in the NEWMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, while Clark was voted to finish third.

 

• The Cougars return All-American Marina Ramos to a team that made its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and earned its first NCAA victory in 2016.
   

• Ramos ranks first in the NEWMAC in kills (244), kills per set (4.28), and is third in digs per set (4.68).
