FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

• The Smith College volleyball team looks for their first conference win of the season tongiht against Emerson.

 

• First-year Caleigh Johnson (Georgetown, Tex./St. Dominic Savio Catholic) leads the Pioneers with 138 kills, hitting .292 followed by Amy Hagen (Owings, Md./Northern)'s 125 kills.

 

• Smith was selected to finish 10th in the NEWMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, while Emerson was voted to tie for eighth.

 

• Freshman Grace Tepper continues to rank within the top five in the kills category, sitting in fifth with 210 kills and fourth with .356 kills per set.

 

• Junior Moira Brennan is fifth in the NEWMAC in assists per set (8.34) and has totaled 509 assists this season.
